Native Voices Award 2025
Open until April 30, 2025
Indigenous storytellers from Native American, First Nations, Australian, Polynesian, and Southeast Asian communities, especially those historically colonized, are invited to submit an original, unpublished work in English. Accepted genres include short story, flash fiction, nonfiction essay, script, or poetry. Prizes up to $500 USD. No entry fee is required. The deadline is April 30, 2025. Submissions should feature Indigenous themes rich in cultural depth. Winning submissions will be featured in Kinsman Quarterly, on its social media sites, and in printed promotions. They will also be published in the upcoming anthology, Native Voices, Vol. 2.

Stories of
Submissions Open Throughout 2024
Nonfiction essays of inspiration wanted (between 500 - 1200 words). Submissions should highlight the struggle and resilience of the human spirit, especially related to cultures of marginalized communities. Essays must be original, unpublished works in English. Selected entries will be made each quarter and will be included in Kinsman Quarterly's digital magazine. Selected authors receive $200 cash and publication in our digital and print magazine. Poetry and prose wanted of authors of the Asian Diaspora (preferred). Entries must be original, unpublished works in English, highlighting Asian cultures. Winners receive up to $500 USD and publication within the Winds of Asia anthology. Open submissions are adjusted to Sep 1 – Feb 28, 2025. No entry fee required.
