NATIVE VOICES AWARD 2025
Indigenous storytellers from Native American, First Nations, Australian, Polynesian, and Southeast Asian communities, especially those historically colonized, are invited to submit an original, unpublished work in English. Accepted genres include short story, flash fiction, nonfiction essay, script, or poetry. Prizes up to $500 USD. No entry fee is required.

IRIDESCENCE AWARD 2025

Submissions have opened for short stories and poetry by BIPOC authors for Kinsman Quarterly’s Iridescence Award 2025. Themes should include the supernatural, extraterrestrial, or the paranormal. Prizes include publication in the Iridescence anthology with cash awards up to $1000 USD. Note that fee waivers are not provided for non-priority members for this contest.

Afro descendants wanted for the African Diaspora Award 2025. Participants submit an original, unpublished work in English, including short stories, nonfiction essays, or poetry. Prizes up to $1000 USD for top winners along with publication in Kinsman Quarterly's literary journal and the upcoming anthology, Mosaic: African Threads of Prose & Poetry. INSPIRATION
Stories of
Submissions Open Throughout 2024
Nonfiction essays of inspiration wanted (between 500 - 1200 words). Submissions should highlight the struggle and resilience of the human spirit, especially related to cultures of marginalized communities. Essays must be original, unpublished works in English. Selected entries will be made each quarter and will be included in Kinsman Quarterly's digital magazine. Selected authors receive $150 cash and publication in our digital and print magazine.
